22nd Street -- Salt Creek Bridge

Work started on Monday (4/14/08) on the 22nd Street bridge over Salt Creek. This project entails removing and replacing the bridge beams and the driving surface. The bridge is not being widened or shortened; it is simply replacing sub-standard beams. The work should be complete by about Labor Day, 2008.

During construction, at least 2 westbound lanes will be open and at least 1 eastbound lane will be open.

This is a separate item from the Tollway I-88 work. That I-88/22nd Street work will go until the end of 2009.

Midwest Road (22nd Street – Butterfield Road)
