The
Village of Oak Brook is creating an Eligibility List
for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic. Starting
salary is $51,016 per year (contract under negotiation)
plus other benefits, based on the most recent collective
bargaining agreement.
Qualifications
for this position are:
1.
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
2.
Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen.
3.
21 years of age, but will not have reached your
35th birthday before the date of the written
examination,(except otherwise provided by Statute).
4.
Must attend mandatory orientation
session tentatively scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
on Saturday, November 1, 2008.
5.
Must present current (2008) C-PAT Certificate
by November 11, 2008.
6.
Must pass written test, initial oral test, preliminary
character-background check, update character-background
check, polygraph examination and final oral interview.
7.
After a conditional offer of employment has been
made,
must pass an in-depth psychological examination and
a
medical examination.
