The Village of Oak Brook is creating an Eligibility List for the position of Police Officer. Starting salary is $53,735 per year (as of July, 2008) plus other benefits, based on the most recent collective bargaining agreement.
Qualifications for this position are:
1.Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
2.Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen.
3.21 years of age, but will not have reached your 35th birthday before the date of the written examination, scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 9:00 a.m., (except otherwise provided by Statute).
4.Must attend mandatory orientation session at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2009.
5.Must provide Power Test Card (dated 2009) by no later than 5:00 p.m. on November 9, 2009. For information, contact the Northeastern Illinois Public Safety Training Academy (NIPSTA) at (847) 998-8090 or www.NIPSTA.org.
6.Must pass written test, initial oral test, preliminary character-background check, update character-background check, polygraph examination and final oral interview.
7.After a conditional offer of employment has been made, must pass an in-depth psychological examination and a medical examination.
