Public Safety Education

The primary emphasis on public safety education programs is preventing life loss, injury, and property damage.  The Fire Department accomplishes this through a variety of programs such as:

  • Group Fire Station Tours
  • First-Aid, CPR (CardioPulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automatic External Defibrillators) Classes
  • Free Blood Pressure Screening
  • Fire Extinguisher Training
  • Freddie the Robot Fire Truck Fire Safety Classes
  • EDITH classes (Fire Exit Drills In The Home)
  • Disaster Preparedness for your Home or Business
  • Courtesy Home Fire Safety Inspections
