In the event that collection day falls on a holiday, collection will be provided on the following day. Refuse, recycling and yard waste are collected in different trucks on different routes. Therefore, collection times may vary for each service (e.g. yard waste may be picked up later in the day than refuse).

  •  Allied Waste bills residents in advance on a quarterly basis. Allied Waste also offers an annual billing option whereby residents may pay for a year of service in advance. Contact Allied Waste if you are interested in annual billing.

REFUSE COLLECTION

  • Unlimited amounts of refuse in cans or bags will be collected each week.
  • When purchasing garbage containers, please verify the size.  For safety reasons they should not be larger than 32 gallons.
  • Cans or bags may weigh up to 50 pounds when full, and may hold up to 32 gallons of refuse.
  • Refuse must be placed at the curb unless the resident has arranged with Allied Waste for rear door collection.
  • Collection of individual items weighing more than 300 pounds; large amounts of building materials, carpeting, dirt, concrete, furnishings, etc.; and appliances containing hazardous components should be coordinated between Allied Waste and the customer. Call Allied Waste prior to collection to arrange for an estimate of cost.

OPTIONAL TOTER SERVICE

An optional wheeled toter service is available to residents. Toter service provides a clean, attractive container for storing and transporting of waste. Toters are completely enclosed with an attached lid to prevent odor problems and keep unwanted pests out of your trash. Toters are available in a 90 gallon size, and eliminate the need to purchase garbage cans. Each toter holds the approximate equivalent of 3 cans of waste.

Toter service is available for an additional $2.95 per month. Please call Allied Waste to arrange for this service.

Due to incompatible design features, most toters sold by retailers cannot be loaded by Allied Waste's equipment.  Please contact Allied Waste before purchasing any toter.

YARD WASTE COLLECTION

  • Curbside collection of yard waste (e.g. grass clippings, twigs, leaves, plant material, etc.) is provided from April 1 through November 30 on Mondays.
  • Yard waste may be placed in 30 gallon biodegradable paper bags (plastic bags cannot be accepted) weighing up to 50 pounds when full. A yard waste sticker must be attached to each bag.
  • Branches may be tied together in bundles approximately 4' long and 2' in diameter weighing up to 80 pounds. A yard waste sticker must be attached to each bundle.
  • A 90-gallon wheeled toter is also available at a rate of $207.00 per season.
  • Yard waste is collected at the curbside only.
  • Yard waste stickers are available at the following nearby vendors at a cost of $2.35 per sticker.

  • Butler Government Center - 1200 Oak Brook Rd.
