Section
4-1-9. Application. Chapter 4, of our Village
Code states: “Applications for a liquor license
shall be made in writing to the Local Liquor Control
Commissioner on forms provided by the village, signed
by the applicant, if an individual; or if a corporation,
partnership or limited liability company, by a duly
authorized agent thereof, verified by oath or affidavit,
and shall contain the following statements and information:
(11) a completed fingerprint card from each general
partner, sole proprietor, general manager and liquor
manager; and any officer of a corporation or limited
liability company who owns either directly or indirectly
more than five percent (5%) of the outstanding shares
of any class of the capital stock of said corporation
or more than five percent (5%) ownership interest
of said limited liability company.”
Fingerprinting occurs at the Oak Brook
Police Department on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons
from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Police Department
will furnish the proper fingerprint card at that
time for individuals. Otherwise, your local Police
Department may complete the fingerprint cards and
forward the cards with your completed application
to the Village Clerk.
Once the documents are received, they
will be processed and forwarded to our Liquor Commissioner
and Village Board of Trustees for their review and
possible approval. At that time, a representative
of your organization may wish to attend the Village
Board meeting to answer any questions the members
may have of your application. If the Village Board
approves an increase in the number of liquor licenses,
our Village Code is amended to create an additional
liquor license. The Liquor Commissioner will then
determine if it is appropriate to approve a liquor
license. If approved, the process is to submit the
appropriate liquor license fee which is prorated.
Please contact the Village Clerk’s
office at (630) 368.5052 if you require any assistance
with the liquor license application process.
