NON-COMMERCIAL SOLICITATION APPLICATION PROCESS

  If an individual or organization wishes to sell fundraising items or solicit funds within the residential area of Oak Brook, you are required to obtain a Non-Commercial Solicitation Permit.

  Applications may be completed online, printed and submitted as required to Charlotte K. Pruss, Village Clerk, 1200 Oak Brook Road, Oak Brook, IL 60523.

Title 4, Chapter 4, Article B, Non-Commercial Solicitation, from the Village Code of Oak Brook will assist in the completion of an application, please read the license application guidelines in this chapter.  Also, please read this carefully as it states the procedures to follow for proper compliance of our Village Code of Ordinances.

  If you plan to conduct fundraising activities at the Oakbrook Shopping Center, you must receive permission from their management office at (630) 573-0700.

  There is no fee involved, however, you must complete an application and submit it to the Village Clerk's office with a list of solicitors, as badges are required to be worn by all of your solicitors.

  Illinois State Statute, Chapter 625, 5/11-1006c, prohibits solicitation of contributions in the roadway unless a municipal ordinance expressly allows such activity.  Since Oak Brook has no such ordinance which sanctions the solicitation of contributions in intersections, the Village will not permit this type of solicitation.

COMMERCIAL SOLICITATION APPLICATION PROCESS

  Any individual or organization that wishes to sell products within the residential area of Oak Brook, is required to obtain a Commercial Solicitation Permit.

Title 4, Chapter 4, Article A, Commercial Solicitation, from the Village Code of the Oak Brook will assist in the completion of an application - please read the license application guidelines in this chapter.

  Applications may be complete online and printed.  Submit the following documents to Charlotte K. Pruss, Village Clerk, 1200 Oak Brook Road, Oak Brook, IL 60523.

  If you plan to conduct solicitation at the Oakbrook Shopping Center, you must receive permission from their management office at (630) 573-0700.

  The completed application and the $125.00 fee, which is required to obtain this permit, should be returned to the Clerk's office.  In addition, a Commercial Solicitation Supplement for individual solicitors must be completed.  Badges will be prepared for each solicitor and must be worn.  Please read the chapter regulating Solicitors and Peddlers within our municipality carefully as it states the procedures to follow for proper compliance of our Village Code.
