Voter
Registration
The Village Clerk's Office provides
Voter Registration services for residents Monday through
Friday, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at
the Village Hall (1200 Oak Brook Road). Voter
Registration may also be taken in the Election Commission
office at 421 North County Farm Road in Wheaton, Illinois.

REQUIREMENTS
for New Voter's Registration :
In order to register to vote, a person must meet three
qualifications:
1. Must be a citizen of the United States.
2. Must be eighteen (18) years of age BY ELECTION DAY.
3. Must be a resident of the precinct for thirty (30)
days as of the next election.
REGISTERING
to Vote:
This service is available at municipal complex during
regular business hours for both Cook and DuPage County
residents.
1. You must provide two (2) forms of identification, one
with the current residence. Residence is the permanent
place of abode (where applicant actually lives). No one
may register from a Business, Mailing Center or Post Office
Box.
2. If you are unable to produce identification with the
current residence, yet you are able to produce sufficient
identification to verify identity, you will need to complete
an "Affidavit of Residence."
3. The registrar will administer an oath in order to swear
(or affirm) your application.
4. If the resident
is a naturalized citizen, naturalization information must
be provided.
TRANSFER
of Voter Registration :
A voter who is already registered within their county
under his/her current name, and who has merely moved from
one address to another within the same county, may transfer
that registration to the new address by filling out a
new voter registration form.
CANCELLATION
of Previous Registration :
If you are registered in another county or state, or are
registered under another name, the old registration must
be canceled before registering in the new county. You
may cancel your old registration on the Voter's Application
form by completing the cancellation area on the registration
form.
All applications
are mailed within seven (7) days to the
DuPage
County Election Commission or the
Cook
County Clerk's Election Department . Voter Registration
cards are mailed by the DuPage County Election Commission
or the Cook County Clerk's Election Department directly
to the registrant at their home address in approximately
four to six weeks.
