Building Code
The Building Regulations are Title 10 of the

International Code Council
On January 11, 2011 the village Board of Trustees adopted the 2009 International Code Council (ICC). To access these codes and local amendments see
Building Codes and Amendments. You may also view the 2009 ICC codes online at the
International Code Council.
Residential Energy Code Compliance
ICC has been awarded federal funding to provide the
2009 International Energy Conservation Code as part of an initiative to meet nationwide energy-efficiency goals through the Building Technologies Program and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
Renovations
Note: Important Information for homes and child care facilities constructed before 1978: If you are planning to renovate 6 square feet or more of painted surfaces in a room for interior projects, or more than 20 square feet of painted surfaces for exterior projects in housing, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978, Please read the

Bond & Fee Schedule
The
Bond and Fee Schedule is approved by the
Board of Trustees and is updated annually. It can be used to help estimate building permit fees and bonds when required.
Licenses Required
Copy of current State Plumbing, tested Electrician and State Roofing licenses. Other municipalities' "business" licenses are not acceptable.
