The Village
of Oak Brook is a very unique and exciting place to live and
work. Property owners pay no property tax to the Village, as
Village services are funded primarily by sales tax receipts.

Pavement Patching on 22nd Street
The Illinois Department Of Transportation
will begin pavement patching on 22nd Street from Butterfield
Road to IL Route 83 starting Monday, May 5, 2008. There will
be permanent lane closures one lane in each direction until
the work is completed.
Allied Waste Special Notice
Due to technical difficulties with Allied Waste’s billing
system, which have now been corrected, some residents incorrectly
received a late charge on their last invoice. Allied Waste is
aware of the error and has advised the Village that residents
should ignore the late charge as it has since been reversed.
Residents that have already paid their invoice and the late
charge will see a credit on their account.
Allied Waste regrets this error and any inconvenience it may
have caused. Should residents have any questions, they should

Oak Brook Ethics Ordinance (Review
and Revision Process)
The
Village of Oak Brook has created an Ad Hoc Ethics Committee
to review and revise the Village’s current Ethics Ordinance.
Over the past several months, this Committee has reviewed various
ethics ordinances from other Illinois communities as well as
the State Attorney General’s guidelines on ethics and
is currently in the process of revising the Village's current
ordinance.
