Clerk's Office

Responsibilities

The Village Clerk is an elected official that serves a four-year term. The clerk is responsible for:

  • Coordinating local election information
  • Maintaining all village records
  • Processing licensing
  • Providing voter registration services
  • Signing official and legal documents, including notaries
  • Notary Services
  • Taking board meeting minutes

The Village Clerk's office is also in charge of responding to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.

The Village Clerk is a member of the Illinois Municipal League, Municipal Clerks of Illinois, Municipal Clerks of DuPage County, and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.
